Topic: I completed 9/10
I completed 9/10

I was one of the 80% of racers who did NOT complete 10/10 challenges in 6 hours.
The reason, of course, was because of our poor mass transit system here in Atlanta, MARTA. Did anyone else get annoyed with how slow the trains ran?
Cheers!

We finished all 10 but were delayed twice during the race due to Marta. We ran from MLK district to Piedmont without ever seeing a bus on a well known street! What's up with that? Then, at least an hour delay waiting on a train that wasn't out of order to take us from Buckhead to downtown. Aside from that, though, the race was great. We had a blast and highly recommend it to others.

We only made it through 8 of 10. Marta was horrible! I don't think the planners of the event took into account at all how poor Atlanta's bus/rail system really is. We decided to walk down Peachtree from Brookhaven to Wieuca Baptist since the church was about halfway between 2 stations. We figured we could hop a bus along the way. HA! We didn't see 1 bus going either direction the entire time it took us to walk! I don't know if it was a problem just that day but it seemed like every time we took a train at least one went by that was out of service. Once we finally made it onto a train, there were at least 3 times that day we were made to get off to take the next train.
Marta aside, it was an AWESOME adventure!

Well... we had bus schedules printed out for just about every route we thought we were going to take... but the problem with the buses is, they typically only run once an hour (some run every 30 minutes for popular routes)... but we got really lucky catching a bus from MLK 4th Ward Area, all the way up to Atlantic Station.
We actually missed the "required" challenge at Atlantic Station because we thought it was in Piedmont Park, so back-tracking to that took us an extra hour.
We would have finished around 3:45pm if we hadn't missed that one challenge. Oh well, maybe next year :)
