Where did you hear this?
Re: Change of Start08/07/08 9:08 pm by SteveE
It is noted under 'Important Information for Registered Participants", and again in the email received Thursday evening.
http://www.cooleremail.net/users/Citychase/CityChaseSeattle_email2.html
It was also mentioned in the Seattle PI's article on the City Chase and the Urban Dare, which is taking place the same day. The article can be found at http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/lifestyle/373828_citychase07.html
And it looks like there could be rain...
First timer...anyone got some hints?07/23/08 12:50 pm by JenSavvy
Hey all,
My friend and I decided this would be an amazing addition to our crazy summer. This will be our first time. If anyone's done this before, we'd love some hints.

I just did the SF one last weekend and am tempted to do the Seattle one also.
It was so much fun. Tiring, but fun.
TIPS:
- Get a Camelbak (you will need the water, trust me)
- Pack something to eat (banana+energy bar)
- Make sure you or your partner knows the city well.
- Once you have located the Chase Points, really sit and plan a good, logistical route (study the transit routes)
- Buy a tranit map (with all the streets and bus routes in detail)
- Avoid the closest chase point first because everyone will go there first and create a log jam.
- Do the extra credit stuff they send in the emails (trust me, it really will help)
- Have a reliable "navigator" available on speed dial to help you out at the beginning.
But the most important thing is have fun and help out your fellow Chasers! I know it's a competition and all, but it's really a great way to spend a saturday exploring your city.
Share your knowledge, tips, and tricks. Pay it forward. It'll make your experience that much more rewarding.
